Every single Fourth of July, this is just what we do.

Otterpop doesn’t mind living in a war zone. Doesn’t notice bombs going off, nothing. Nerves of steel, that one. Ruby and Gustavo hear every single one and are shivering, quivering wrecks. Such is life on the Westside on the 4th. We crank the stereo up as loud as it goes, til our tiny house shakes, and sit with the dogs if they’ll come out from under the bed.

Gustavo and Otterpop ran like champs today. Gustavo ran the best he ever has in a trial, focused and fast and poles and teeters and even got his running dogwalk contacts that we’re in the middle of training. Otterpop was super speedy and happy to run, I just ran her a tiny bit to preserve her crummy leg. And of course managed to screw up her gamblers and snookers. As usual. Gustavo was all about the Q’s.

Gustavo’s Standard run-thanks Rob!
