Here at RRR we appreciate cars where "accidents" can be easily cleaned. We drive the Element. Honda doesn't care. They're not making them anymore after this year. Booooo on Honda.
Clearly driving the same kind of car driven by an AKC national champion would be beneficial to your training regiment. Or regimen. I hate making car-buying decisions. I hate it even more now that two of the requirements are "must fit at least 2 large dog crates, maybe 3" and "must be able to comfortably sleep at least one human". Good luck.
I am looking at the jetta diesel wagon! Amazing gas mileage! And at Rav4's. Pretty good gas mileage, nice for lots of stuff. I LOVE the elements for cuteness and amounts of stuff that fit in but I need some more gas mileage because I drive very, very far every single day. And some days farther. Further.
Yeah, BOX shaped cars get crappy gas mileage. Didn't matter so much when a gallon was $2.50… at $4… it matters more. Sigh.
I am in love with my gas guzzling beast of a Surburban. We can easily fit 5 humans, 12 rat dogs, and all of the crap that everyone needs for a week long dog show trip in it. I wouldn't trade it for anything!
My whole house is roughly the size of a Suburban! I love everything about Suburbans except what my gas bill would be. I drive far, far, far every single day. The drive includes mountains and stuff. We want the space holding capability of Suburban but the gas mileage of a teensy, tiny clown car.

There are only a few car manufacturers that design pet-friendly cars. As for me, we have a Honda Element SUV. Our dogs love it so much since there's a ton of room. Other pet-friendly cars include Mitsubishi Outlander SUV and the very expensive Land Rover Range Rover Sport Supercharged with an MSRP of $72,000.
You actually raise a good point, Noel. SUVs are perfect for having pets in tow, because of the obvious advantage of having more space. You can even put pet toys in there.
About that Noel, I think the Nissan Cube, with a cargo of 58.1 ft2, is a great SUV to travel along with your pets. car finance
